I wrote my “reading is overrated” post a long time ago. It still generates more reactions that nearly all of the things I’ve shared.

I am not really a luddite and do read, but my main point perhaps a decade later is that my emphasis is to learn to access the knower within.

I know that reading helps with this, but at the same time can distract one from the task of polishing the knower within.

I suppose I’ve become a bit doctrinaire here, as I have no patience with people recommending that I read such and such a book. I usually ask them to tell me what they’ve experienced or learned from reading that book.

It’s faster that way!
